"As your typical male, I never put myself down as someone who would be into yoga or ever even attempt it, but with my employer providing sessions with Alice and an upcoming snowboarding trip (with also the view that what's good enough for Ryan Giggs is good enough for me), I thought I would give it a go to see what it was like and to see if it would improve my balance. I was pleasantly surprised. Alice is a fun and inspiring teacher who gets you in the mind set to believe that you can achieve even the most difficult balance positions and I have enjoyed every minute of the sessions that I have attended.
My original perceptions of yoga were so wrong. I never believed that it could be so challenging and also make you work up a sweat.
Any other men considering it but thinking 'it's for girls' like I did, believe me, it's not!"

"Her manner is reassuring, encouraging and empowering.
When I am on my mat I am focused on my practice and not those around me, it is a totally non-competitive environment which I enjoy.
She is exceptionally discreet guiding beginners or new class members but brilliant at letting me know if I did something well (without anyone else knowing).
I have learnt to do what I can at that time on that day and never force a pose. I especially like the class style -
run without banter between participants but Alice's humour shines through and her smile lights every corner of the room.
I think Alice's weaknesses are her strengths, when she guides us through a pose acknowledging her own challenges,
it begins to become achievable and with time and patience she gets many of the class to do things that at the outset seemed impossible.
The first time I managed to do 'crow' I was blown away. I love the moment when the opening chant begins and I realise that
I have made it to class this week and I am going to have one and a half hours in the now and then in her wonderful way she will transport us
to a state of calm to come back to the present with the closing chant and feeling of well being."

"I have enjoyed being in your classes from the time you first started to teach. You began quite tentatively (Sheila was a hard act to follow) and you grew in confidence as time passed. You share your hopes and doubts with your students and this has helped to make me feel that I learn alongside you; a very warm and trusting feeling. You retained your focus and loyalty to your students through the various changes of venue and coming and goings of your own personal yoga journey. I continue to feel both challenged and rewarded by your classes; it is all too easy to fall into a comfortable yoga routine concentrating on just those things that we like best or can do easily, you keep changing and that's good."

"Alice was my first Yoga teacher and my introduction to yoga. Her words of encouragement have always inspired me to improve and push my body that little bit further in every yoga session. I thought I would never touch my toes but you told me that one day I would be able to ....well I can now.
I find the stories that you tell us at the end of our session mentally strengthening
and I honestly leave your Yoga session on a Tuesday night feeling positive and good about myself"

"You make it FUN, but I always feel I've had a great workout, challenged myself a lot, found I can sometimes do things I didn't think I could, and had special time for myself. I can also see that what I have learnt is just the tip of the iceberg, and I love the fact that you are always slipping in new challenges!"

"Alice is a wonderful yoga teacher. I enjoyed her guidance and her spirit. With much clarity, she instructs the class.
In a flowing, very loving, sometimes very funny, way. Her own practice shines through, giving great inspiration."

"I have had the pleasure of practising yoga with Alice for a number of years.
Yoga is an integral part of Alice’s life and because of this she brings passion into her classes, which keeps them interesting and inspiring.
Her classes have supported me through pregnancy and following surgery and I always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated."

"An hour and a half class sounds like quite an intimidating experience but Alice is a wonderful teacher who manages to balance her expertise with a great ability to really make people feel at ease. As a result her classes are both fun and challenging. I have tried other yoga classes but it is only since starting with Alice that I have actually begun to practice yoga at home and feel a lot calmer and more grounded as a result.
Her enthusiasm is catching and every week I feel I learn something new. Plus she plays really great music. What more could you ask for?"

"I find that after a busy day I can escape into my own place, putting all the thoughts of busy daily life on hold. Unwinding, relaxing, learning things about my
body that I didn't know were possible. These classes have helped with my strength, posture & general flexibility.
I have stretched out muscles I don't use often & this had positively impacted my performance in other sporting areas.I attended this class
looking to challenge myself & to find new limits. Alice is very supportive and encourages people not to let your mind talk you out of your body's capabilities.
She offers a wide range of knowledge and experience which makes each class new and exciting."

"Yoga with Alice is great. I must admit I was a bit sceptical about the benefits of yoga, especially as I am in my 60's,
but after doing classes with Alice for well over a year I find my shoulder muscles are not tight any more, I am slowly becoming more supple and I am more relaxed and unstressed. Alice is a very enthusiastic instructor encouraging us to try new poses but always telling us that if we need to stop to go down on our mats at any time, so we don't feel pressurised. She always asks us how we are and if we have any problems and tells us which poses not to do
or how far to go with them and always helps us if we are not doing something correctly. I always leave class feeling energised and happy."
